When I am looking for baking recipes, the two places I always go to are the kraft food website and the foodnetwork website. They have a fabulous collection of recipes and with the Kraft food one most of them are very easy to make. I however have a preference for the foodnetwork one simple because of the sheer variety and choices you get. Plus during my semester at Duke, my apartment TV only had foodnetwork, cartoonetwork and HG TV so I grew to have a soft corner for foodnetwork. The recipe I am sharing you can find at http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_30410,00.html
I am sharing it here as well. I have made some changes to the original recipe and the results really don't make much difference Hope you enjoy biting into the yummy delicious pieces of choco heaven and if you have been good, you can top it with a nice scoop of creamy ice cream :)
Yummy Brownies to Make You Go MMMMMMMMMMMMM
8 ounces (2 sticks) butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped (I basically use dark chocolate but go ahead and use regular chocolate if you want. Just reduce the sugar by 1/3 cup)
1/3 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Butter a 13 by 9-inch pan.
In a glass or ceramic bowl, melt the butter in the microwave. Whisk in the sugar, eggs, cocoa, and vanilla. Stir in the flour and salt. Add chopped chocolates and walnuts.
Spread the batter in prepared pan. Bake about 25 minutes, just until brownies test moist but not wet. Take a toothpick and poke in the middle of the cake pan. It it comes out fairly clean with out any wet gooey batter sticking to it, then its ready to be taken out of the oven. Cool completely before cutting.
